Larger hoop, solving a problem, in Cherry, Walnut and Ash

$375.00

If you have used a smaller net with a rubber net bag,  you may have had the problem of a fish bouncing out of the net.  I wanted a landing net that was a good size to carry but reduced the trampoline effect that I find when using a rubber net bag.  This oval hoop was the result.  The net in about 26 inches long with a 9 inch handle and a 16 x 9 inch hoop.  The frame is a combination of cherry and ash with a handle of walnut.

The net bag is attached to the hoop using the Tenkara method.  I use a continuous cord to lash the net bag on to the frame without drilling the typical holes into the frame. Eliminating the holes, increases the strength of the hoop and decreases water infiltration.

The net is finished with multiple coats of epoxy. All nets are signed and numbered.

If you are interested in a similar net with custom woods or features it is available as special order, with a 6-12 month wait time.  Please contact me if your are interested in  a custom order to confirm details. (sam@flyfishingnets.net)

The net, as shown, is a available for immediate shipping. The pictures are of the net you will receive.
